Top Golf Course Ranking Lists
As with rankings of just about anything, the results are varied and subjective. Golf course and golf resort rankings certainly exhibit a wide range of opinions and diverse statistical criteria. Two members of our Premier Golf team serve as panelists at prestigious publications. International travel consultant Bill Hogan is a panelist for Golf Magazine World and USA Top 100 Courses and Platinum Clubs of the World. 2017-2018 RANKING OF TOP 100 U.S. GOLF COURSES
Golf Digest’s 2017-2018 “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses”, which was released in May, is a terrific guide for golf vacationers. Here’s the top 10: (1) Pebble Beach Golf Links (2) Pacific Dunes at Bandon Dunes (3) Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Resort (4) Whistling Straits-Kohler (5) Shadow Creek, Las Vegas (6) Pinehurst Resort No. 2 (7) Bandon Dunes at Bandon Dunes Resort (8) Bethpage State Park Black (9) Erin Hills Golf Course, Wisconsin (10) Old Macdonald at Bandon Dunes.
2017 RANKING OF BEST GOLF RESORTS IN EUROPE
According to LeadingCourses.com, Finca Cortesin Hotel Golf & Spa in Spain is the “Best Golf Resort of 2017”. Other notables in the top 10, include Monte Rei Golf & CC in Portugal at #2, Slieve Donard (Royal County Down) in Ireland at #5, Trump Turnberry in Scotland at #6, Royal Golf Hotel (Royal Dornoch) in Scotland at #8 and Old Course Hotel (St. Andrews) in Scotland at #9.
