This fine old Victorian mansion is located at the north end of the Highland town of Tain, one of Scotland's oldest royal burghs. The hotel has been extensively modernized and tastefully decorated to maintain the character of the building. A superb collection of Victorian stained glass windows in many of the public rooms and hallways will be sure to pique guests' interest. The small Ross-shire town of Tain, close to the shores of the lovely Dornoch Firth, has much of interest for visitors. This ancient burgh, granted its charter in 1066, has a fascinating museum and visitor's center. The famous Glenmorangie distillery is also sure to attract guests.
