County Louth
One of the greatest courses in Ireland, everyone knows it as Baltray. The course opens with two fine holes and then a classic seaside par 5. Some slight breaks follow in the shape of a drive and pitch 4th hole, but the 5th introduces players to the first of four short holes, all confronting the wind from different directions. The 5th and 7th holes have greens nestled in the sand hills, but the 6th is another par 5. The excitement of the back nine centers on holes close to the sea and the Mountains of Mourne. All in all, Baltray is a great test of golf.
