Since 1991, Premier Golf has been licensed by the PGA of America as the exclusive distributor of Ryder Cup packages. We have developed and managed all inclusive packages ( including ticket, accommodations and transportation ) for ten straight Ryder Cup matches. The tradition continues as we introduce our packages to the 2012 Ryder Cup at historic Medinah Country Club, just outside of Chicago, Illinois. In the early 1920’s a group of Shriners from Chicago’s Medinah Temple had a dream to create a country retreat. Their goal was to build the best country club in North America with a 54-hole golf complex and a variety of other recreational activities. After obtaining land in an area then known as Meacham, in northern DuPage County, Tom Bendelow (a world-renowned golf course architect from Scotland) was retained to design the golf courses. In September of 1925, the Shriners enjoyed their first round of golf at Medinah on Course #1. Construction on Course #2 was completed a year later and Course #3 was completed in 1928, but was the subject of a major redesign in the early 1930’s. Since then, Medinah has hosted two PGA Championships, three U.S. Opens, one U.S. Senior Open and three Western Opens. It will be a fitting venue in 2012 for golf’s greatest event. |

*The International Pavilion ticket provides access to the grounds, as well as admission to the International Pavilion on the day specified on the ticket. The International Pavilion is a climate controlled chalet, located on the tournament grounds. Elaborate decor, big screen televisions, a variety of food and beverage options for purchase, sun patios, scoring monitors and a lively atmosphere make the International Pavilion a fantastic place to enjoy the Ryder Cup. Ryder Cup grounds tickets can be upgraded to the International Pavilion badge for an additional $275 per ticket, based on availability. more... |
History
The Ryder Cup (officially the Ryder Cup Matches) is a biennial golf competition between teams from Europe and the United States. The competition is jointly administered by the PGA of America and the PGA European Tour, and is contested every two years, the venue alternating between courses in the United States and Europe. more... |
