The Courses

Trump International Golf Links Scotland:Located on the edge of Scotland's north east coast between Balmadie and Ellon, Trump International Golf Links will frequently be buffeted by strong winds, swirling in off the North Sea. At 7,407 yards, it will therefore be a true links test. Great care and precision has been taken in the design and construction and many of the fairways are wider than they appear in photographs. Designed by esteemed links golf architect, Dr. Martin Hawtree, the course opened in 2012.

Castle Stuart Golf Links: Host of the prestigious Scottish Open. This championship links course overlooking the Moray Firth and notable landmarks such as Kessock bridge and the Chanonry lighthouse is conceived to be the centerpiece for the Highlands. The first three holes on each nine play away from the art deco clubhouse and hug the Moray Firth coastline while the remainder of the golf course is mostly atop a plateau. Clever shaping creates the impression of 'infinity greens' appearing to hang right over the edge of the water.

St Andrews Old Course: The holy place of golf and veritable “bucket list” course, attracts throngs of enthusiasts, logs approximately 42,000 rounds annually and has been host to The Open Championship 28 times. For many, St Andrews Old Course is the experience of a lifetime, an inspirational yet humbling encounter. To share sacred ground, with the footsteps and shadows of golf icons and legends, and play the same course that has broken and crowned champions, past and present, is a connection and challenge few other sports fans ever experience, savor it.

St Andrews New Course: Due to the overwhelming response to the first course at St. Andrews, from local and visiting golfers alike, B. Hall Blyth, an Edinburgh civil engineer, along with "Old" Tom Morris and right-hand-man David Honeyman were commissioned to develop a second course on the links. St Andrews’ “New” Course opened in April 1895. This classic links course uses the natural features of the topography to create a first class golf challenge; it lacks nothing in quality or design and has seasoned with age into a premier Scottish golf destination.

Royal Dornoch: Regarded by many international players as one of the outstanding links courses in the world, Tom Morris designed this original championship course in 1877. Throughout the years it has hosted the Northern Open, the Scottish Ladies and the Scottish Professional Championships.  Over the years the Championship course has been tweaked and enhanced by greats such as John Sutherland and ex-professional and greenskeeper, Donald Ross. Open Champion George Duncan added new holes after the war ensuring that the course has remained a challenge in the face of ever improving equipment and continues to be regularly ranked within the top 15 best courses in the world.

Nairn: This traditional seaside course, regularly chosen for national championships, is one of the best in the country. Founded in 1887, James Braid later extended it. Magnificent views of the Moray Firth can be seen along the way. It hosted the Curtis Cup in 2012.
