North West Ireland Tour

The remote North West Coast of Ireland is a beautiful wilderness lined with beaches and greenery. If you’re lucky enough to visit this part of the country, you’ll find several hidden gems and natural wonders in the forms of the Wild Atlantic Way route, Slieve League cliffs, and several small cities and towns showcasing a laid back and welcoming lifestyle. County Donegal is a naturalist’s paradise. Sitting right at the edge of the River Eske, Donegal is home to Mount Errigal, as well Glenveagh National Park and jagged coastlines. This region of Ireland is also home to small towns like Sligo and Enniscrone, both of which host golf courses that attract many visitors. Castle Dargan and Enniscrone Dunes Golf Club represent the very best of North West Ireland golf.

In this region, there’s no doubt you’ll find an abundance of golf courses and green spaces perfect for teeing off on, given the rurality and remoteness of this region of Ireland. County Donegal holds the crown when it comes to golf courses, as it hosts Ballyliffin’s two championship links golf courses and Rosapenna Golf Club, which is home to the world-famous St Patrick’s links course and beautiful oceanside views. County Donegal also hosts Portsalon Golf Club, which holds a proud reputation as one of the founding members of the Golfing Union of Ireland, which formed in 1891. You can also find the Connemara Golf Links course in the County Galway area, which offers the only True Links course in the Galway area, and stunning countryside and views over the Atlantic Ocean.

With offices in Ireland, you can feel in safe hands with Premier Golf representatives who know Ireland’s rugged shorelines and vast green spaces like the back of their hand, and who can therefore offer a premium and worthwhile experience. Allan’s Tip:

While in Sligo you have to pay a visit to Hargadon’s Pub, it’ll feel like you’ve just taken a step back in time (and I mean that in the best way possible!). Established in 1868, Hardagon’s is home to gorgeous paneled snugs, stone floors, and the charm and character that’s becoming increasingly hard to find in an Irish pub these days.
