El Camaleón is an 18-hole par 72 course measuring approximately 7,024 yards, designed by the legendary Greg Norman. Fairmont does not publish static green fee prices, and fees can vary significantly based on time of day, season, whether you’re a guest of a partnered resort, or if any tournaments are being held. This is due to the sheer popularity of the course.
Dress code is standard golf attire: collared shirts, tailored golf trousers, shorts, and skirts with soft spike shoes. The club isn’t a super strict private club that’s going to tell you to tuck in your trousers, but you will be expected to reasonably follow the dress code.

Gran Coyote Golf is the closest course, being only a 10 to 20-minute drive from El Camaleón. Designed by Nick Price, the course has a modern layout that integrates with the natural landscape seamlessly and attracts both amateur and professional golfers.
Iberostar Playa Paraíso Golf Club is only a 20 to 30-minute drive from El Camaleón. It’s a championship-level golf course designed by the great P.B.Dye, well-regarded for its challenging layout set amidst the lush Mayan jungle.
PGA Riviera Maya, this one is further afield, roughly a 1-hour drive from El Camaleón. It’s a championship golf complex designed by Robert Trent Jones II that carves its way through limestone and tropical forest.
The course is located at the Riviera Maya, just to the north of Playa del Carmen on Mexico’s Caribbean coast. The nearest major airport is Cancun International Airport (CUN), and the resort is a 30 to 60-minute drive away, depending on traffic.
