Located in the historic seaside town of St Andrews on Scotland’s east coast, no venue has hosted The Open Championship more often than the Old Course.
Since 1873, it has hosted golf’s oldest major 30 times, serving as the site of many of the sport’s most unforgettable moments. It was here that Jack Nicklaus completed the career Grand Slam with his victory in 1970, and where Tiger Woods delivered one of the greatest performances in major championship history, winning by eight strokes in 2000 without finding a single bunker all week.
History is part of every step at the Old Course. See iconic sites like the Swilcan Bridge and follow the next historic moments in Open Championship history.
Premier Golf will arrange the perfect itinerary before or after your tournament experience, from luxury accommodations to rounds at the most iconic European sites.
“If you’re going to be a player people will remember, you have to win The Open at St Andrews.”

As one of golf’s oldest and most prestigious tournaments, The Open Championship has an abundance of history and has held great significance throughout the decades. The first Open Championship was held in 1860 at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland.
By 1872, The Open had moved to include other courses, with the format evolving to accommodate more participants and establish its reputation as a major championship.
We were utterly thrilled with the services from Premier Golf.
All of your communications were clear and considerate – so thank you for that. Lauren was terrific – checking in often to make sure we were covered and satisfied with transportation. The guys at the PG table were equally helpful. Everything, as far as we were concerned, went swimmingly – and we were grateful for all the good service.
