While our USA team and their caddies and Captain Tom Watson and his staff are studying and devising strategy on the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles, many of our clients are hitting the courses themselves in Scotland. Some Premier Golf clients today played the Old Course in St. Andrews others took to the fairways at Royal Dornoch, Castle Stuart, Trump International Scotland, Cruden Bay and Royal Aberdeen.

Later in the week, when everybody congregates at Gleneagles for the matches, it’ll be redemption time. At the opening media conference yesterday at Gleneagles, Captain Watson made it abundantly clear that what happened in Medinah will be a motivator for the team. “I made it very clear to them that this is a redemption trip,” said Watson. “… It’s to make amends and try to redeem yourselves for what happened in 2012. I think it’s a motivator rather than a negative.” Watson and his vice-captains Andy North, Raymond Floyd and Steve Stricker are working together to make the correct pairings that hopefully will result in a U.S.A. victory.

Meanwhile, our staff is working hard to assemble gift bags for our clients that will get them in the mood for the Ryder Cup. We need all the support we can get over here. We’ve got to counteract all those Ole, Ole, Ole’s with U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A….

This promises to be a high-intensity Ryder Cup with lots of passionate fans on both sides. The matches start Friday so everybody save your vocal chords till then. Let’s hope for some long bomb putts by Phil, Rickie, Bubba and the gang.
