Do you want to see the world’s best female golfers going shot-to-shot against each other in a Ryder Cup style atmosphere? The joyous singing, chanting and cheering that’s so indigenous to The Ryder Cup also envelops the scene for The Solheim Cup. What makes The Solheim Cup 2015 extra special is its fabulous location at the St. Leon Rot Golf Club near Heidelberg, one of of Europe’s most charming cities.

Set on the Neckar River in southwest, Germany, Heidelberg is best known for its massive, centuries old castle that overlooks the city. After a day at the matches, you can tour the castle and stroll “Old Town” Heidelberg, which has a mile-long pedestrian street (The Haupstrasse) lined with historical structures, Heidelberg University buildings, cafes, restaurants, bars, department stores and boutique shops.

The Solheim Cup matches are staged September 18-21 with a total of 28 matches. On the first day, 8 foursome matches are held, on the second day, 8 four ball matches are played and on the last day, 12 single matches take place to determine the winner.

Tournament Module Package — September 16-21, 2015

You’ll spend five nights in beautiful Heidelberg, which is located about 25 minutes from The Solheim Cup site, the St. Leon Rot Golf Club. From your hotel, you’ll have easy access to the Haupstrasse, Neckar River and Heidelberg Castle. The Tournament Module package includes:

  • 5 nights at your hotel with breakfast daily and all taxes
  • The Solheim Cup Season Ticket (Thurs.-Sun.) with Ping Pavilion access (a non-host Hospitality Tent with with bars, food, tables and flat screen televisions with Solheim Cup coverage. (It’s a great place to relax and escape any inclement weather) Access to Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
  • Tournament transfers and round trip Wednesday transfers from Frankfurt Airport to the hotel (and return on Monday)

Heidelberg Marriott – A 4.5 star, traditional, amenity-laden business hotel overlooking the Neckar River with a spa, fitness center, indoor swimming pool, sauna, jogging trail and restaurants. $2,395 per person double occupancy sharing a room. Add $830 for single room occupancy privilege. Options for local rounds of golf, walking tours of Heidelberg, etc. are available upon request.

Heidelberg Qube Hotel — A 3.5 star modern, boutique hotel with a rooftop terrace and a gourmet restaurant. $1855 per person double occupancy sharing a room. Add $220 for single room occupancy privilege. Options for local rounds of golf, walking tours of Heidelberg, etc. are available upon request.

Oktoberfest Option — September 21-24, 2015

This is a great (and very convenient) opportunity to the attend the world’s biggest and best beer festival, the amazing Oktoberfest in Munich. A mammoth 17-day festival, this glorious celebration of beer, food and German culture has been held since 1810. Phenomenal beer served in large mugs, amusement rides and games and delicacies like roast chicken, sausages, grilled fish on a stick, cheese noodles and pretzels are an integral part of this fabulous experience.

Following a scenic ride from Heidelberg through southern Germany to Munich (about 3 1/2 hours), you’ll spend three nights at the luxurious 5-star plus Kempinski Vier Jahreszeiten Munchen with reserved seating at The Hofbrau Tent at Oktoberfest for one day including a food and drink voucher, plus a free day to explore the exciting city of Munich on your own to see sights like the Marienplatz Central Square, Frauenkirche Cathedral, English Garden Park and the German Museum.

The Oktoberfest Munich Optional Extension includes:

You also have a great opportunity to tee it up yourself at three of the best local golf clubs in the Heidelberg area. We can arrange tee times for you before, during or after the Solheim Cup matches. Price per round is $255 per person for one round of golf, which includes round trip transfer to/from your hotel. Additional charges (rates may vary slightly) to be paid directly at the golf courses are: Golf Cart: 40 Euros sharing; Rental Clubs: 20-25 Euros and Range Balls: 3 Euros

Golf Club Heddesheim Bad Neuzenhof – Opened in 1996, this 18-hole championship course was built on lush, former farming land. Amenities include a 5-hole short course, chipping green, putting green, spacious driving range, a well-equipped day spa, golf shop and superb restaurant. Its proximity to the mountain road with its romantic and historic towns and villages is an added appeal and convenience.

Golf Club Rheintal Oftersheim — Ancient sand dunes, a dense pine forest and panoramic views over fields towards Heidelberg and the Odenwald dominate this golf experience. Opened in 1971, this par 72 layout has no water hazards and offers challenge through its strategically placed bunkers on the fairways and surrounding greens. Amenities include a restaurant, pro shop and driving range with 14 covered tee spots.

Golfpark Kurpflaz Limburger Hof — This 27-hole complex, which opened in 1996, is conveniently located in the center of the Rhine-Neckar region a short distance from Heidelberg. The 18-hole course is target style golf with some challenging dogleg holes and the 9-hole layout is perfect for a quick round. The practice facilities are excellent with a huge “Golfodrom”, which has 100 teeing stations, 25 of which are covered and heated. Amenities include a golf academy, pro shop, bistro, and a restaurant with a large terrace affording great views of the grounds.
