Premier Golf hosted their 2012 International Pro Am on the Costa Del Sol in Spain May 19-26. Fifteen Teams of one PGA Professional and Three amateurs competed for the Champion's Trophy and the PGA Professionals competed for the title of 'Matador'.
The groups played the most outstanding golf the region has to offer, including Valderrama, Finca Cortesin, Sotogrande La Reserva and the San Roque Club. All courses were in superb condition- in fact the Finca Cortesin Golf Club had hosted the World Match Play event the week prior! Greens were rolling at 12 in the stimp meter! In addition to the great golf, Marbella and nearby Peurto Banus offered fantastic cuisine and nightlife. Many of the participants took full advantage of that nightlife into the wee hours of the morning. The host hotel for the event, the five-star Grand Melia Don Pepe, was an amazing setting on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, with 4 restaurants and 4 bars to enjoy.

In the end, Bill Shriver of the Belleview Biltmore Golf Club took home the title of The Matador with rounds of 78-69-78-75, Damon Hyde from Avila Golf Club took the Amatuer Matador Trophy and the team of Andrew Rilling was declared the Champion of the 2012 Pro-Am Espana with a four-round score of 514 in the 2-net best ball tournament!
