Premier Golf introduces its Third Annual International Pro-Am for 2012 in the Andalucia region of Spain! Along the 'Coast of the Sun' in Southern Spain, our 2012 event will showcase the very best golf the region has to offer. Golf includes rounds at Valderrama, Finca Cortesin, La Reserva and the San Roque Club (Old course AND New Course!). Two spectacular dinners await our participants, including the farewell dinner at the 2-Michelin Star Calima Restaurant for our awards dinner. The event hotel is the Five Star Gran Melia Don Pepe- in the heart of Marbella and situated on the Mediterranean Sea!

The Accommodations

Gran Melia Don Pepe

Positioned along Marbella’s renowned Golden Mile, this 5-star luxury resort provides unique access to Spain’s idyllic Andalusian region. Local attractions include the vibrant Plaza de Naranjas, La Plaza de Torros, Paseo Maritimo and Puerto Banus—home of Marbella’s premier marina and couture shopping. The Golf

SAN ROQUE CLUB NEW COURSE

Designed by Perry Dye, this 18-hole course has all the features necessary for a thrilling round of golf—including the Dye family trademark bunkers and railroad ties! Peppered with cork oak trees and numerous water hazards, it demands skillful play to negotiate hidden obstacles. The New Course includes many views of the Mediterranean Sea and the valleys that make the San Roque property world-renowned, and with its wide fairways and variety of tees, players of all abilities will find it an irresistible challenge.

LA RESERVA GOLF CLUB

Opened in 2003, La Reserva Golf Club is situated within the prestigious golf valley of Sotogrande. Designed by Cabell Robinson and built to USGA standards, it is set amongst a truly natural and beautiful backdrop of lush green rolling hills, mountains and spectacular sea views. It is a relatively long, par-72 7093 yards, with wide and undulating fairways and large, often sloping greens. Long putts on fast greens are a feature, and water comes into play on six holes. Its clubhouse is one of Spain’s most imposing, built in the purest of Adalusian styles.

SAN ROQUE CLUB OLD COURSE

Formerly the home of the Domecq sherry family, the club is surrounded by lush hills and historic cork oaks in the foothills of the Sierra Bermeja. Along with the stunning Domecq mansion, the pride of San Roque is the 6747-yard, par-72 Old Course designed by Dave Thomas (bunkers redesigned by Seve Ballesteros) and rated among the finest in Europe. During the 1997 Ryder Cup hosted by Valderrama, both European and American teams were hosted here and the suites occupied by the players are designated by plaques bearing their names.

Originally named Sotogrande New, the course was designed in 1974 and also updated in 1984 by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. prior to being renamed Valderrama (after the ancient estate on which it is situated). A par 71 Championship Course that measures 6991 yards from the Professional tees, its fairways have been described by top pros and golf writers alike as the best in Europe. Golf World’s #1 golf course in mainland Europe since 1989, it demands thought and precision from every shot. In 1997 it hosted the 32nd Ryder Cup and remains the only club outside of the USA and Britain to host golf’s ultimate event.

FINCA CORTESIN GOLF CLUB

With a climate that allows year-round play, Finca Cortesin exists in full harmony with nature and the environment. Designed by Cabell Robinson in 2006, the course is a 7480-yard, par-72 gem. One of the finest golf courses in Spain, it boasts more than 100 bunkers and magnificent views of both the mountains and the sea. It is highly enjoyable for beginners, but can also present a serious challenge to pros; when you finish playing all 18 holes, you’ll notice that you have played all your clubs. Home of the Volvo World Match Play Championship, one of the most historic and prestigious golf tournaments in the world.
