Along the 17th hole of the Old Course lies the 5-star St Andrews Old Course Hotel, with its Scottish charm and luxury resort accommodations. Half of the room’s face the Old Course and St. Andrews Bay, making it one of the most iconic hotel settings in the game of golf. Since the resort is owned by Herb Kohler, all 144 rooms are equipped with modern amenities including premium Kohler products in all the bathrooms. On the 4th floor is The Road Hole Restaurant, where you can have a highly rated dinner with an incredible view of the course (also site for breakfast). There is also a nice lounge on the 4th floor called the Road Hole Bar, with one of the world's finest golf views, where guests can enjoy a nice selection of Single Malt Whisky and cocktails. The Sands Grill, located on the ground floor, is a more casual eatery. Also, at the east end of the hotel is the famous Jigger Inn, a great place to grab a pint, great pub food and a chat with the locals. The hotel also boasts the beautiful Kohler Waters Spa, where guests can enjoy a relaxing massage or sit in the sauna, and choose from many treatments. Near the Pro Shop is the Golf Steward Office, where a shuttle can be arranged to take you to any of the St. Andrews golf courses, including the St Andrews Dukes Course, a hillside heathland style course with great views, owned entirely by the hotel. This is clearly the top hotel in the St Andrews area!
