Golf in Austria

Golf in Austria is very different. Very few Austrians go to the course, play, and go home again. They like to take the whole day to relax and enjoy the experience. They will play 9 holes and then sit down to enjoy some Austrian refreshments at the halfway house before continuing their round. On completion of the round, they will take a seat on the balcony to relax some more, taking onboard more culinary delights with a few glasses of their favorite wine. Eichenheim GC

The superbly maintained 18-hole golf course Eichenheim guarantees a varied golf experience with breathtaking scenery amidst the Kitzbuhel Alps. The course with 6,092 meters par-71 blends in perfectly into the fascinating surrounding mountains, whereby the golfers may gather many amazing impressions and enjoy the flora and fauna. It was designed by Kyle Phillips (Famous for designing Kingsbarns, Scotland) and opened in 2000.

Ellmau – Wilder Kaiser GC

The Wilder Kaiser golf course in Ellmau has developed into a first class golfing showpiece. Stretching out right at the foot of the majestic mountain range is a wonderful ” garden” with lakes, streams, trees, bushes and 27 holes. Playing golf here combines the attraction of sport with an awesome natural experience. The perfect sunny location means you can look forward to a long golfing season. With the exciting surroundings of the “Wilder Kaiser”, a round of golf becomes a true adventure.
