Speed, Skill, and a Formidable Track: Combine an F1 Race Weekend with World-Class Golf
This year, for the first time ever, three Formula 1 Grand Prix will be hosted in the USA.
This is in addition to the annual Canadian and Mexican Grand Prix, bringing North America’s total to an incredible five.
The success and the growth of F1 within the US market can be largely attributed to the highly successful Netflix series ‘Drive to Survive’, and the relative access to F1 race coverage on US networks. Despite the intense competition from IndyCar NASCAR, the world’s fastest and most advanced race cars will be witnessed across the USA more than ever before.
This weekend’s Miami Grand Prix will be its second edition, with a spectacular track set within the Hard Rock Stadium complex, and downtown Miami providing the backdrop to this sun-soaked, southern Florida spectacle.
The second race will take place in Austin, Texas named the ‘United States Grand Prix’ and held at the Circuit of the Americas. A short drive southeast of the city, this event has been a huge success since its inception in 2012. Cowboy hats, cheerleaders, and military flyovers make the event an iconic display for the world to witness.
The third and final Grand Prix in 2023 promises to be the most special. The newest edition to the calendar, the glitz, and glamour of the surreal F1 roadshow returns to its spiritual home, Las Vegas. Unique features include a floodlight night race (10pm PST start) a high-speed straight down ‘The Strip’ and backdrops including Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, and the Venetian. Taking place in November, as the penultimate race of the season, the driver’s championship will be coming to its conclusion and may see the winner crowned during the weekend.
With 3 great races in 3 iconic venues and suitable climatic conditions, these events lend themselves to a memorable Grand Prix and Golf trip.
Play some of Miami’s best golf including Doral, or take a short drive north to PGA National. Austin is home to some of the best golf in the USA, play Horseshoe Bay or take a full Texas Hill Country tour and include TPC San Antonio. Finally, Las Vegas is home to iconic golf resorts, if you can peel yourself away from the party downtown.
