Sixteen teams - from Florida to California- competed over 4 competition rounds during the third week in May in Southwest Ireland at the 2011 Premier Golf Irish Pro Am. The very best links golf courses in Southwest Ireland were featured in our itinerary.
The trip began with a practice round at Doonbeg, followed by competition rounds at Doonbeg, Lahinch Golf Club, Old Ballybunion and Old Head Golf Links. A final round was played at Tralee Golf Club.

The weather is always a part of golf in Ireland, and our trip was not exempt! Strong breezes and a few drops of rain were part of the excitement. Our round of golf at the Old Head Golf Links was picture perfect- and the group unanimously voted the course the 'most beautiful they'd ever played'.
Lodging included accommodations at the Doonbeg Lodges and the Killarney Park Hotel- two of Ireland's premier properties. Doonbeg features amazing menus, and Killarney features the great Irish 'craic' this party town is known for.

The lead moved among many teams througout the competition, until a clear winner emerged during the final round.
Congratulations to the winning team of Derek Uyeda, PGA Pro, Scott Leary, Paul Murphy and Ryan Sweeney from the Grand Golf Club in San Diego!
The Low PGA Professional was Cary Splane of Marsh Creek Country Club in St. Augustine, Florida, who played tremendous golf all four rounds.
