Ireland Golf Tour – July 2023

Open Venue Royal Portrush coastline

Escorted Ireland Top 100 Golf Tour

July 24 – August 1, 2023

Join Premier Golf this July for an exclusive Ireland travel experience.

Play five great rounds of golf including three Golf Magazine World Top 100 courses!

Bill Hogan, Premier Golf Business Development Manager and Golf Magazine World Top 100 Panelist, will escort this 8-night trip from Dublin. Including rounds on highly-ranked Royal Portrush, St Patrick’s Links, and Royal County Down, among others.

Tour Overview

Throughout the tour Hogan will provide insight on his ranking preferences and how a golf course goes from good to great, and why Ireland has so many wonderful links courses in a relatively small country.

You’ll have dinner with Wilma Erskine OBE, BEM, who for 35 years was Secretary Manager of Royal Portrush GC and was responsible for the 2019 Open Championship returning to Northern Ireland for the first time in 68 years. Dame Erskine’s charm will be readily apparent as she gives our group the insight of becoming the first and only female Secretary Manager of a Royal Golf Club back in 1984, to the rewarding task of getting the Open Championship back on Irish soil for the first time since 1951. It will be a night to remember.

At The Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort, you’ll meet John and Frank Casey, two brothers who run the family-owned, outstanding Donegal resort, and hired Tom Doak to design the wonderful St Patrick’s Links, already ranked #55 in the world. Hear first-hand about the creative genius of Doak and his routing concepts, design characteristics and how the project came to fruition. There’s much to learn about building a World Top 100 golf course, and the Caseys’ stories are fascinating and very entertaining.

Along the way, we’ll also tour The Titanic Experience in Belfast, tour and taste Bushmills Whiskey, and walk along the fascinating Giant’s Causeway. Our hand-picked hotels are all prime golf locations, from the Golflinks Hotel Portrush, the Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort, and finally the iconic Slieve Donard Resort & Spa in County Down. Non-golfers will be escorted, while the others are playing golf, on fun sightseeing activities in the nearby regions and visiting charming small towns.

This tour is strictly limited in size and a $2,000 per person non-refundable deposit is required to hold your space. For an extended option, this tour also matches perfectly with one of our Open Championship Tours at Royal Liverpool, or we can customize an onward journey to Dublin or other parts of The Emerald Isle.
