The best time of the year for golfing in Arizona is in Winter and Spring – which is considered peak season as the weather cools down. In summer Arizona can reach temperatures of around 90 F – 120 F, sometimes even higher. Summer Arizona golfers generally play very early to avoid the extreme heat of the day.
There have been many golf tournaments played historically in Arizona, however, one of the most popular tournaments on the PGA Tour, the Phoenix Waste Management Open, is held annually at TPC Scottsdale.
