In 2022, we saw Justin Thomas securing the Wanamaker Trophy in a playoff with Will Zalatoris, his second US PGA victory. The 2023 PGA Championship is returning to Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York, which is in fact the only club to have played host to the US Open, Ryder Cup, PGA Championship, US Amateur, Senior US Open and the Senior PGA Championship.
“No matter how good you get, you can always get better — and that’s the exciting part.”Tiger Woods
Taking place between May 15th and 21st, Oak Hill Country Club has been through a major renovation in recent years, meaning players and spectators are going to be experiencing the US PGA here like never before. The last time it was hosted at Oak Hill Country Club was in 2013 when Jason Dufner beat Jim Furyk by two strokes to win his first PGA Championship. Experience the best international golfers the world has to offer as they return to Oak Hill for the fourth time in May for the 2023 PGA Championship.
The PGA Championship is one of the world’s four major golf tournaments, alongside the Masters, U.S Open and the British Open all run by the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) of America. Once known as “Glory’s Last Shot” the PGA Championship was used to mark the end of the major championship season before moving to May in 2019.
First held in 1916, this prestigious tournament not only gives the winner a sizable amount of prize money, but also a lifetime invitation to all future PGA Championships, as well as a five year allowance in three other major tournaments.
PGA Championship vacation packages allow you to be a part of the action, and see some of golf’s greatest players further their careers and make golfing history.
The Oak Hill Country Club formerly incorporated in 1901 is regarded as one of the fairest and most challenging courses on the US major circuit. A championship venue where only the world’s best golfers have been able to better the Oak Hill par. The club is home to two 18-hole courses and despite the East course taking all of the limelight, the par-71 West course is a hidden gem at Oak Hill. It offers golfers the chance to play a piece of Donald Ross history, as it has remained virtually untouched since it was designed in 1926.
Undergoing major renovation in 2019 to return the East course back to Donald Ross’ intent and using his original drawings, it included rebuilding all of the bunkers and greens. The newly improved course plays firm and fast with various levels of difficulty that will make for an incredible return to the US PGA in 2023.
